CMPAC published its 2025 Impact Report showcasing the work we carried together this year. As we close out 2025, we reflect on a year defined by principled action, sustained advocacy, and growing Muslim political presence across Canada. In a moment marked by rising Islamophobia, shrinking civic space, and ongoing efforts to silence advocacy for Palestinian liberation, CMPAC remained committed to ensuring that Muslim voices were not only heard, but organized, informed, and present where decisions are made. The report shares the following highlights:

Just months after a federal election that saw Muslim communities turn out in record numbers impacted by CMPAC’s Muslimsvote.ca campaign and other campaigns to reshape the political conversation in the process. CMPAC has been working to ensure that this momentum doesn’t fade once the ballots are counted. In a climate of rising Islamophobia, growing pressure on civil liberties, and continued attempts to silence advocacy for Palestinian rights, we’ve been showing up consistently: meeting with MPs, intervening on legislation, equipping you to respond and engage in the political process, and making sure Muslim voices are heard directly in the rooms where decisions are made.

Over the past year, that work has been far-reaching. We have produced 20+ evidence-based policy briefs and legal analyses, intervened in Parliamentary and Senate committee processes, and helped shape debates around major federal bills affecting civil liberties and foreign policy. We led and supported more than a dozen national advocacy campaigns, mobilizing tens of thousands of people and generating over 40,000 emails, calls, and letters to elected officials, and met directly with over 100 politicians across Canada, MPs to senior decision-makers. At the same time, we supported grassroots advocacy in nearly 40 ridings, equipping community members to meet with their MPs and build long-term political relationships rooted in trust, clarity, and accountability.

None of this happens by accident and it can’t be sustained alone. Advocacy is about showing up month after month, especially after elections, when public attention shifts and political pressure drops. Becoming a monthly supporter of CMPAC helps keep our work steady and responsive: it allows us to act quickly when harmful bills surface, to stay present on Parliament Hill, and to keep communities informed and mobilized year-round. Our communities not only deserve but need lasting political power, not just moments of visibility during election cycles.
